VyprVPN vs. DMCA

So does VyprVPN/GoldenFrog kneel before DMCA? You bet! And you WILL be notified!!

  1. I got 4 DMCA complaints today via VyprVPN. Right after I changed from monthly to annual billing. Fortunately, I was able to switch back to monthly billing via the online control panel.

    File-sharing traffic is a no-go on EarthVPN‘s U.S. servers as well. The company mentions the DMCA as the main reason for this decision.

    “Torrent and other file-sharing traffic is only allowed on Canada, Panama, Netherlands, Germany, Sweden, Luxembourg and Romania locations as of now due to the DMCA,” the company explains.

    As of now, I'm connecting to VyprVPN's Netherlands server. I need to get a smarter router that only routes my P2P traffic through the VPN.
