Beats Music vs. Spotify vs. Google Play Music

Spotify Update 17-08-2015: Apparently you can no longer log on to a US account elsewhere.
Beats Update 17-08-2015: Beats is now Apple Music and requires a US issued credit card.

Nicely done, douchebags!

Beats Music

For:
- Differentiated streaming quality based on WiFi and mobile data
- "For You" - albums and play lists based on your favourite genres - Works up to a certain point
- Good Android software
- Easy to set up outside the US
- No geo-restricted playback

Against:
- Not up-to-date with latest releases
- Drops out sometimes even if bandwidth is good enough.
- Needs a feature like Spotify where you are presented with a handful of similar artists when you play a song or album etc.
- Lack of features when streaming from a PC. Learn from Spotify Mr. Dre!
- Only available to the US (though bypassing is quite simple)
- No built-in equalizer
- Horrible web interface

Spotify

For:
- Great software across the board

Against:
- Geo-restricted content - This is a real shame!
- Setting up a US-account outside the US can only be done using VPN and online vouchers. After that you can log in from anywhere. Content is still restricted to the US though!

Google Music

I still need to try this out

For:

Against:
- Setting up US access requires VPN and a US based email account
